Student representatives in the Senate
Main functions of the University Senate:
- Sets out the procedures for studies;
- Approves the internal quality assurance system for studies and verifies its implementation;
- Establish the qualification requirements for the positions of lecturers and researchers, approve the procedures for the certification of lecturers and researchers and for the organisation of job competitions and remuneration;
- Discusses and makes proposals to the Council on the University's vision and mission, strategic action and development plans;
- Discusses and makes proposals to the Council on amendments to the Statutes of the University;
- Considers and proposes to the Council the suitability of candidates for the post of Rector;
- Considers and proposes to the Council plans for the reorganisation or liquidation of the University;
- Considers and proposes to the Council the determination of the total number of study places, taking into account the possibility of ensuring the quality of studies and scientific and artistic activities.
The Senate sets up the following standing committees to carry out its work:
1. Scientific Committee
2. Studies and Students Committee
3. Development and Quality Committee
4. Rights and Ethics Committee
